Santa clause
Has anyone resembling santa ever appeared in any history books as real human figures? or is it something like the tooth fairy? :p

They did a photofit, you know like they use with criminals, to determine what he would have looked like, and they found him to be olive skinned, fairly slim, and with a cropped white beard, as apparantly that was the fashion in Saint Nicholas' time! Merry Christmas everyone!
there was a programme on bbc 2 saturday the 18th dec. called "the real face of santa claus".the legend is based on a turkish saint (nicholas) who was a christian in roman times and helped those less fortunate. after he died his bones were stolen and taken to italy where they now lie and are worshipped on a special day in the year. a scientist sent the skull measurements to a top facial reconstructionist at manchester uni and they came up with a very benevolent looking man. he had a white beard too. any way,it was dead interesting. :0D
