JJ's not here, as she's on the piste......hope i'll do, as live in the Brighton area too, not far from the lovely little minx.
Ok....Depending what time the function is......daytime and night costs vary at the places you mention, You have an number of options......you can either park at the NCP in Church street, which is literally round the corner from the Dome, but day tariff costs are very high OR if you have tickets already......Brighton Dome ticket holders can pre-purchase a car park ticket between 6pm and Midnight for £5.20, which is reasonable.
Daily tariffs here are
1 Hour £ 3.20
1 To 2 Hours £ 6.40
2 To 3 Hours £ 9.60
3 To 4 Hours £ 12.80
4 To 24 Hours £ 16.00
but
better still, if you park after 6.00pm on any day anywhere on Madiera Drive.......completely free of charge.
I have sent you a link with daytime costs up to 6.00pm.......

or Option 3.........drive and park for free in the multi storey car park at The Marina and bus it in.......costs will be high depending on how many of you there are travelling though. Buses run every few mins.
I sent you a link on this too............

All the best and hope you have a great time at the function.

No problem, theonlyone :0)
You do have another option than going by bus from the Marina, as you can park anywhere in Madeira Drive, say at 4.15pm...pay just two hours ticket which is only a £1 and not worry after 6.00pm, as you'll be covered the whole night then.
Even if you arrive 3 hours before 6.00pm, you will pay only £3 there.( especially handy if you want to visit the shops,a bar, the Sea Life Centre, The Pier, The Pavillion or the brilliant Lanes for a great cafe etc, .....or just a stroll.
Hope you have a brilliant time here.

Bus costs could be higher and, of course, aggravation of catching it etc, so at least you have options.
