Harry Hills TV Burp
He took the `proverbial` out of `Pop Star to Opera Star` on Saturday evening which I thought was in extremely poor taste and would like to see if he could do better. He, being in show business should realise this. Until now I found him fairly amusing ,but no longer.

In this instance, Harry Hill satirises current TV and he does it very well, as hi viewing figures and Bafta Award concur.
I fail to see why what he said was in poor taste. PSTOA is an entertinment show, and therfore fair game for Mr Hill's attention. To criticise, or in this case to gently lampoon, never makes any suggstion that the critic can do better - and Mr Hill would not suggest that he can sing at all. But no critic is suggesting that they have a superior talent for that on which they opine - so I am sorry to read that you are offended - but taste - like comedy - or singing, is a moveable feast. You will have to find something esle to watch instead.

He himself is not funny, it is the way he uses the clips and we laugh at the clips because he (or his researchers) have noticed that out of context the particular clip can have other conotations or be mis interpreted or just appear stupid, and we laugh at that take on a programme we had previously taken seriously. His research team must watch alot of tele, but then again, he does usually choose the more popular shoiws that his audience can easily identify with,
