anyone watch ritchie valens film biopic last night on bbc4 . enjoyable but sad.

Have seen it before - quite enjoyed it.

Richie seems to often be the 'forgotten one' in that famous plane crash.

The 'lucky one' was of course Waylon Jennings who swapped his seat with Buddy Holly so Buddy could get some laundry done before the next gig on the tour.

Waylon was bass player on Holly's band, and lived on until 2002, evolving into a highly successful country star, as well as being 'The Balladeer' who did the voice-over and sand the theme for seven series of the TV show 'The Dukes Of Hazzard'.
I had seen it before but watched it again, and yes it was very sad. So young, only 17yrs old, but what always amazes me is how Buddy Holly managed to record the amount of records that he did in such a short lifetime, music that is still played today.
Indeed missprim - what have we missed?
