ive recently bought the new pet shop boys dvd and it said recorded in hd, so unless im being thick here. how does one watch an hd dvd.? i do have an hd tv.
it wont be hd in a standard player, as one guy says you need a blue ray player ,
did you pay a lot more for the dvd than a standard one,if its is in hd it will be around £6 or8 more,
just wondering?
Lots of DVDs say "filmed in HD" on the back, probably to convince those unsuspecting buyers that they have bought an HD disc, but it's completely irrelevant information for normal DVD. Unless it specifically has the BluRay logo on it, then it will be a normal DVD. Of course, they may release a proper HD version on BluRay later.
Unless he's somehow got hold of the now obsolete HDDVD format of it. If so, been duped somewhere along the line. It wont playin a bluray player and HDDVD players are no longer mainstream I believe. Although some XBOX's might play it.
