Carly Simon on The One Show

I know this is a rapid-fire programme squeezing a lot into 30 minutes, but did Chiles and Bleakley have to be so rude to guest Carly Simon tonight? What did you make of it?

I think she just didn't know when to stop talking. She thought the show was all about her and I don't really think they had much choice.

I felt uncomfortable listening to her. At times she was talking so slowly that I thought she'd forgotten she was speaking.

We were cheering her on. Chiles is a nasty, chauvinistic bigot and Carly came right back at him and put him in his place for every comment he made.

I thought Christine's version of the song had more than a smigin of truth about it too. The sooner he leaves, the better.

Well I like Adrian Chiles! I thought Carly Simon was 'out of it'. I totally agree with Kristy and Factor 30 and felt sorry for Adrian and Christine. There is something very wrong with Carly Simon, and she made me feel uncomfortable on her behalf.

Lofty said it all for me! Ditto! Was she on something? I love Carlys music & actually didn't recognise her! I know she's that much older now, but her face has totally changed! Her speech was slow. The programme has to keep to a time slot, she overode hers & I too felt very uncomfortable!

I thought she was a pain in the butt and didn't realise that the whole programme wasn't about her. I also think that Adrian and Christine must have had the producers screaming in their ear to shut her up and get on to the next topic and, under that sort of pressure, I thought they did really well.

Somehow, don't think she will be asked back again. I too thought that under the circumstances Adrian and Christine did well. What a nightmare for them!!

That was nice Sachs. Think I will just try to think of Carly as she looked way back! Great singer. What has she done to herself!! To much surgery and too much of some other substance perhaps! Oh dear.

I like the one show. you have to take it for what it is, a very lightweight light entertainment early evening magazine show.

I have no problem with Chiles or Bleakley, though always preferred Klass.

I agree with everything you said Richard but, please, don't suggest brining Klass back she was hopeless and spoiled the show. She looks great but is a useless presenter
