Could someone please explain to me, how I can down load a Photo from from outlook
express on to Nero / Picasa.

If the photo is embedded into the email (i.e. it actually appears within or below the text) right-click on it. If the photo has been sent as an attachment (so that the file name appears at the top of the email), right-click on the name of the file.
In either case, select 'Save as'. Navigate to a suitable location (e.g. 'My Pictures') and save your image there.
You can then access the picture from any image viewer or image manipulation program (such as IrfanView or Picasa) by going to File > Open, navigating to the relevant folder and double-clicking on the file. Similarly you can use Nero to burn the file to disk in the same way that you would with any other file.
