I remember my mum making this thing once, she got the recipe from the 'Weekly News' about 30 years ago.I know it had melted butter, coco powder and obviously broken biscuits in it,but am stumped as to what else. The recipe was supposed to have a bit of golden syrup in iy,but we never had any.Tried to make it a few times, but taste like there is something missing from her version.Any ideas? It would of been a simple store-cupboard item,I am wondering if biscuits just tasted different back then.
