FAO of Peri,and everyone"~My Avatar.
6 Answers
I have transferred this answer from another post,in which Peri asked about my Avatar cat.,in case she missed it.
Yes Peri,
Kika(named after a film by the Spanish Director Pedro Almodovar, she was named when we got her)came from a couple we knew well,She was Brazilian, and he was Spanish, they split up,so rather than fight over her we got her.
She lived until she was 9,but never grew bigger than an 18 moth old kitten, with a personality to match. She loved everyone, cats, dogs and humans. She developed cancer in one of her sinuses(in 2008),so we had to bite the bullet and make the terrible decision. She is buried in the garden along with another 5 of our cats (who ARE dead though LOL).
It was difficult to put her here as my avatar,as it still hurts me to see her,but I thought it might be nice for ABer's to see her,and good therapy for me.
You would think that by 87 it would get easier losing a pet,but actually I think it gets harder.
Thanks for asking.
Alec.
PS:~
We still have two cats though, one 14 and one about 6.
So the older one may not be with us for that much longer. If and when he goes we may have to get another,as the 6 year old might be lonely

They have such individual personalities - I have 2 cats at the moment - 6 years old - Max and Peri. Max is our first male and a real softy - and Peri is super intellent - (hence my name - lol). We've had 7 cats and 1 budgie in the 28 years of married life. In order - Mindy, Boots, Pip, Noodles, Daisy, Lacey, Peri and Max and it does get harder but I wouldnt be without them. Kika looks like a beauty. They all are in their own way - thanks for letting me know x
