Is it due to whatever is opposite the windows and light? Does one window have a stronger/brighter reflection that prevents your dog seeing you through it?

Dogs can definitely recognise humans through glass. My mother's dogs always jump up at the living room window, and as soon as they see her or my father coming home, they instantly run and fetch a shoe or some other form of gift to greet them with.
maybe she expects you to come out the back door if you look through the window next to it?
or conversely, that you are going to open the door for her?
