HD TV

I have an HD enabled TV and also a Sky HD box but the images on the HD channels are no clearer than the normal ones, whereas my young grandson watches sport i n HD on his laptop. How does this work>

you have both the bits of equipment needed to get HD TV, but have you connected them with HDMI? if they are connected with SCART or by an aerial lead you won't get HD on the TV. Also not all channels are HD so you need to be watching a HD channel.
