After bailing out Greece with 25 billion Euros I think it is only fair that Germany receive 12 points in the Eurovision song contest in return.

I thought Turkey was good. UK total rubbish.
We're always rubbish!! I think we should just forget about entering and then perhaps we wouldn't have to put up with it on the telly.
Save a lot of Licence-Payers money as well, tizzi.
i think it's outrun its worth, bring back fame academy instead?
the Russian entry was a very good one. my favourite
But the Eurovision contest is non political

Isn't it ????
The Uk has always done badly since we invaded Iraq. We could have the best song in the world and would still be lucky to finish in the bottom 5.
We came fifth last year
Lucky!

Look at these results from the last few years:
http://en.wikipedia.o...rovision_Song_Contest

Since 2003, the best we could manage was 16th place (apart from the freak result in 2009). before then, we were nearly always in the top ten.

Surely, not a coincidence that we also invaded Iraq for no good reason in 2003? Our decision to invade was greeted with a "nil points" that year by all other contestants. We will never win it again.
What better reward for bailing out Greece than having to spend around 40 million on next year's Eurovision!!

Personally, I was hoping for a Greek win, 'Opa!' was a perfect song for Eurovision. As cheesy and fun as it gets.
