BGT and prayers for a dog ?
http://www.telegraph....the-final-review.html
“Britain is often described as a Godless nation these days yet Saturday evening saw millions of viewers united in prayer: “Dear God, please let the dancing dog win.”
This was the bombastic live final of ITV1's variety behemoth Britain’s Got Talent and regardless of the last ten’s performances, many of us were backing border collie Chandi.
Mainly to see the look on show overlord Simon Cowell’s normally smug face when confronted with the prospect of trying to make millions from a squiffy-eyed mutt rescued from a council pound in Telford.
Even for devoted dog-lovers, it’s hard to begrudge them their triumph. The only annoying thing about Spelbound is that mysteriously missing “l”. They’re scarily strong, clearly hard-working and prodigiously talented.
The terracotta-tanned troupe scoop £100,000 – which won’t go nearly as far between its 13 members as it would have for the solo performers – along with a slot at the Royal Variety Performance in December.”
I don’t usually watch BGT but did last night - thought the 10 acts were pretty good .
What did you think - and were you praying for the Dog ?

I didnt pray for the dog either naomi - the dog as far as I could tell seemed happy enough with its wagging tail - but maybe someone will put me right.

I would like to hear what animal trainers have to say.
I liked it as an act and the dog was happy but she was not dancing to the music as such, she was responding to Tina's visual signals. She would have done the same routine without music, or to a Beethoven syphony.
She did look tired I think she should now be allowed to be a dog with bones and toys and a park to play in. I doubt if Tina will let her.
No ! I never waste time with prayer. Had I done so it would have been for Chandi's happy retirement, she earned it.
