I want to buy on DVD the season of X Files which turned quite comedic - it was very different from the others and Mulder had loads of funny lines. I think one of the episodes had a monster singing Cher songs. Anyone know which season it was?

The "Cher" episode was Season 5's "The Post-Modern Prometheus", though I would have said that Season 3 (with "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" and "War of the Coprophages") was where the show lightened up a bit.
