Compulsive or repulsive viewing??

I know it'as not everyone's cup of tea, but since no one is literally compelled to watch it (despite my question!), and the subjects that are being dissected obviously consented pre-demise, I'm glad there hasn't been a mighty furore about it (or has there, and I've missed it?)

Personnally, I find it quite fascinating, but then I did a Biology degree, (always enjoyed animal physiology).  Even my usually squeamish fella has been watching it with interest, tho he did look away as the guy cut open the testes et al last night.

ive been watching to an although when i actually think about it does weird me out a little bit that its an actual human that they are working on i do find it really interesting and cant seem to turn it off even though some times it does churn my stomach a little

I only saw the episode on the digestive system. To be honest, i found it very cool and not particularly repulsive at all. It was very interesting and i learnt a lot. Although it doesn't really look like a real human so maybe thats why i didnt find it stomach churning.

That said, the 4th show where "the guy cut open the testes et al " sounds pretty nasty to me.

I'm not usually a squeamish person but I haven't been able to bring myself to watch any of it.  It's just something about dead bodies that freak me out.  My bf has watched it and described every episode to me in detail and it does sound as though it's been really interesting, particularly the one last night on reproduction, but nevertheless I just can't do it.

very interesting, although I have to say I think more people would be open to watching it if Dr. von Hagens didn't look like the original mad scientist.  He can be a little violent sometimes, pulling out saws and tearing things open which makes me wince a bit, but over all really good.

The (alive) naked male model helped too ;)

I think my girlfriend only watched it for the live naked model.

I've watched all apart from Monday's one. I'm not a squeamish person either but i found it really interesting to watch and i didn't find it repulsive. Even my dad watched it too as well as my mum watching parts of it.

That doctor reminds me of Freddy Kruger lol.

Both my husband (who is normally very squemish) & I watched with great fascination. I did not think it was offensive in the least, in fact I though less so than the make over programmes you see where people are getting boob & nose jobs etc. Because the bodies had been treated I didn't think they looked real, more like plastic.

Educational, not repulsive.

Wasn't there some fuss about Dr Von Hagens not being as qualified as he claims?
