Nick Clegg Launches "Your Freedom" - What laws would you like see changed
Today Nick Clegg and the Coalition have launched a dialogue with the public about which laws should be repealed.
From http://yourfreedom.hmg.gov.uk/
"If there are any laws or regulations you'd like us to do away with, then submit your idea. If you see ideas here already that you like the look of, then rate them and get them moved up the list. And if there’s more you’d like to say, then talk to others in the comments section for each proposal."
Is this a way for the coalition to pass the buck onto the electorate when it comes to making decisions? Does this encourage a kind of democracy where those who shout loudest get the most attention?

I don't think so. It looks like a genuine enough attempt to find out what the public wants for a change, instead of treating public opinion with contempt until it comes to election time.
Whether they act on it or not is another matter. They could just use it to justify some decisions they've already made, while ignoring other ideas they don't agree with.

///I fact why don't we just tell Europe to 'Go Away'. ///
Yeah that's a really good idea.
And we can wave bye bye to most of our export markets and a sizeable chunk of our manufacturing sector e.g. we now build more cars in UK than we have for many years, because of access to euro markets.
Anyone who feels too inadequate to compete with the Belgians please form an orderly line behind youngmafbog.
