I thought I was pretty worldly and new every country in south America, Imagine my surprise when I first heard of *Suriname*

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suriname

I have never heard of this place before located between Guyana and French Guyana I'm assuming that they must be similar, though they do talk Dutch where Guyana and French Guyana speak English and French respectively.
Has anyone been here?

Yes, I have. Lovely place. We stayed in a waterfront house in Paramaribo They drive on the left, and it's probably the only place in the world that has a Synagogue right next door to a Mosque, and share parking facilities!!
Most people learn something new all the time.
