And Moonlighting....
well obviously the one with top cat and officer dibble....
All those programmes and the 80's remind me of my son growing up and loving them. Films as well, Ghost Busters, Back to the Future.

However, for me it was the late 50's/60's when the Westerns took over the television and everything was so new - 77 Sunset Strip, Route 66 as well. Americanism - now I hate it!!

Fluff. I must request that you do not drag this thread down to your gutter level. Not everybody on here wants to know about your fantasies involving cartoon animals!! Filthy creature
just cos you couldn;t get secret squirrel
Question Author
Actually McFluff, for your information, it was Batfink I pined for. After all, his wings were like a shield of steel
yes I agree with 80's but its not to do with the fact they were better programmes. I think nowadays there are so many channels that because you cant watch everything some shows dont get the audience they deserve
4-get I need your support on Salla's Ukelele thread!! ;o)
the 80s and I agree 4get, we are spoilt in terms of channels and alternatives like computers where people watch youtube.

I liked the good old days of recording songs off the top 40 on a sunday and having to do something constructive when there was nothing on the 3/4 channels.
I can remember when all there was was BBC. And we had a 9" television with a magnifier strapped on!! And everything was live TV. OMG I am old!!

Yes lotty, you truly are ;-)
Not only that Lottie but transmission stopped after childrens programmes and the continuity announcers wore evening dress for the appropriate time. Sylvia Peters! Good grief.
I think the 60's.............Clint Eastwood in Rawhide, and Michael Landon in Bonanza...mmmmm
The 80's also had St Elsewhere, Fortysomething and all those series that I liked. St elsewhere was the forerunner to E.R. - loved it. And Fortysomething had Mark Harmon - always an attraction.
oh yes, the 60s, The Avengers, Bonanza, The Prisoner, The Likely Lads, The Untouchables, Monty Python, Marty Feldman, Branded, guys looking for one-armed men...
Question Author
The 80s also had the best cars, guns, helicopters, and speedboats; and to a boy born in 1981 thats the important thing in life (not dishy guys/girls!!)
Clint Walker in Cheyenne too craft. Wasn't Ward Bond nice (Robert Horton also)
well, how would a boy born in 1981 know that he'd missed the golden years by two decades...
jno - don't some of those titles tell a story - the Fugitive, the Prisoner, the Avengers, Branded? Give me Mrs Dale's Diary any day - oh Jim!
Would seem to be the 60's or the 80's then! What happened to the 70's and the 90's. 70's definitely the best for music though imho!
