Did anyone else feel that last night's programme was a bit of a fiddle? What was the point of the test? I understood they were to show they were learning and expanding their knowledge, however the two who made a hash of it stayed and the one who made a perfect meal was sent off! They didn't say it was anything to do with the previous tests so how can they say this was a fair test?
I hope they aren't going to fiddle this show as I enjoy it, love seeing the different restaurants the contestants are sent to and all the new and exotic ingredients they use. I have noticed that the contestant who does well in the professional kitchen and other tests doesn't always get through, maybe they should score them on the different tasks!
Great idea Oscarina! They should get a score from each judge for each test, each judge not knowing what the other judge has given and not till the end should the count be made, but they can still talk to each other before hand and decide who they want to win. I guess we just have to put up with it and up till last night I thought they were very good judges but it quite put me off the programme when they criticised the 2 that eventually got through. I'll wait to see what happens next time before I decide if I'll watch the next series.
The fact that its got celebrity in the title should explain that its a popularity contest. Although its enjoyable, I wouldn't take it as seriously as the normal one.
Agree flobadob it is a celebrity show but not all of the celebrities are well known and high profile and the public aren't voting on popularity, it is up to John and Greg to make the decisions. I wouldn't vote for popularity over talent!
