Its OKish I suppose but, it looks more staged than CDMM.
As for the women singing with the black guy today, that was embarrassing, a load of 15 minute wannabe's.

She is a bit fake but I suppose for a new series they have to rely on friends of friends to take part until its established.

The boss comes to dinner? Lol, that sounds like a horrible thing to happen. It must involve a lot of crawling from the employee, what exactly does the employee win or what is the objective? To try and cook their way to a promotion maybe?

lol ... yeah, theres a handful of hopefulls that want a job with this boss person, and they have to invite him/her round to dinner, and while theyre there, a kind of interview takes place..!
throughout the week some are knocked out (not literally, no the boss doesnt throw a punch! lol) and some get through.
then at the end of the week, the boss decides out of the ones that got through, who was the best 'candidate' and selects that winning person to come and work for them ...
