alien abduction film

Can anyone remember the title of a film in which a man's abducted by aliens and then re-appears some time later? I remember everyone's asking him where he's been and he sort of flips out. There are flash-back scenes where he wakes up on a spaceship and aliens have him pinned down and are doing experiments on him while he screams. I really got into it at the time. Any clues please.
