what a load of rubish this us style of filming and talk dose not work here its embarassing surprised there not new york subway steam in every shot and hazy ambiance !
It is an American franchise and so there is an eye to showing it in the US. Bradley Walsh was on tv earlier saying that some indications are that it might go down well over there as being a bit different from the versions they have over there.
Apparently the plots are re-hashes of the plots from the original series 20 years ago.
ok maybe for the us market but brits dont behave like this to start with no one is taking the mickey and no one wears braces, slick clothes .waistcoats eats pizza on the street and comes across cops with american accents !
But it's never intended to be a gritty police series, everything has to be sorted inside an hour. It's like The Bill when it started - every incident happened, then the aftermath and the police investigation, followed by being all done and dusted - everything sorted in 1/2 hour (less advert time).
It's brilliant and a good version of the American series of which I'm an addict .And it has the lovely Bradley Walsh .So can't be bad :)
Thing is we do versions of American stuff well . But they can't do ours .
Look what a hash they made of Ashes to Ashes .
