I'm surprised no-one has put on here just how tremendous a series this one has been. I bet it doesn't get a mention at any award ceremonies though?

It was good wasn't it. I didn't expect much because I thought the film was crap...I was impressed.

I thought the film was ok - but this was better. Along the lines of Shameless, but without so much humour.
any programe that makes me laugh/cry/sing/shout at the telly is pretty amazing in my book.....and this did
Excellent series with quality acting if not depressingly dark! I never got to see the film though.
Yes I agree definately better than the film. I thought it was excellent, but as you say I doubt it will be recognised by any awards.
I did not see the film, but thought the series was excellent.

The only bit that I was confused about is I had no idea who Combo was, or why he would go to Prison for what Lol did to her Father.
Combo was in the film. He was racist and beat the crap out of Milky...that's where Milky's scar comes from. I actually thought he'd killed him...
Cheers ummmm, I did wonder where the scar came from.
I didn't watch it - had an early night but Mr Q did and he thought it was very good. Wish I'd stayed up now.
I am surprised no one thought much of the film...I certainly thought it was excellent. I did not expect the series to live up to it..in fact-the first episode seemed a bit frivolous in comparison. But it built up quickly in its intensity-a brilliant series, and I'd love to see more.
