A lot of folk have teenagers when they are in their sixties and I would have kept him - it was so heartrending - poor little chap. However, they were wise people and considered it wouldn't be right for him or for them. I could never foster and then let a child go.
The other Connor, poor lad, also broke my heart. An intelligent, articulate boy badly let down by his mother, yet he still adored her.
A very sad programme, but I must admit the social workers and care workers shown were absolutely dedicated, kind and realistic. Glad that the young girl is getting on well in her foster home.
