Apart from the obvious..
If you had been underground for months like the Chilean miners
What would be the first things(s) you would ask for when you were brought to the surface?

mentioned were a toothbrush and toothpaste to really scrub your teeth, another suggestion was to keep in touch with those who had been trapped with you as they alone would understand what you had gone through, but surely there would have been fights and squabbles being in such a confined space? Maybe you would want to leave that behind or you may have built up a very strong camaraderie with all of them.
What would you want first, an expensive pair of sun glasses would be suitable I would imagine.

I think a nice cold beer and to sit out in the sunshine would be really needed. I can't think how "cold" your skin would feel after such along time without sunlight.

Cooped up underground for over 2 months would mean trying to get ones sanity back after such an ordeal.
Firstly I would want to see my Wife/Girlfriend, Sunglasses and a Cold Beer plus a slap up meal. Then I would find another job away from Mining.

I would really want to shy away from the Press, it was said there is offers of a film in the making, so for them I hope it makes them wealthy in quite an impoverished country, they deserve it

I would suspect a trip to church to offer thanks will be high on their list...but a bath and clean clothes and to see their loved ones ...
