80's uk black and white chalk line animation

does anyone remember the name of the short cartoon on the telly that had a little man and a pencil and an artists hand that drew the cartoon as it went along. finished just fin (french perhaps?)

It's called La lin�a. It was created in 1969 by the italian, Osvaldo Cavandoli.
