NASCAR is supposed to be on the above channel now - however all I'm getting is an illustration of a key .
In fact I rarely ever get the NASCAR programme when it is listed as being on

Is anyone getting the the listed programme ?

The Open Access website is down and you're reporting that they're not transmitting their scheduled programmes. Putting two and two together (and accepting that I might be 'making five') my guess is that the broadcaster is in severe financial difficulties and unable to pay for the rights to show NASCAR programming.

I've not even got satellite TV, so this certainly isn't my area of expertise but I'm wondering how many adverts you've seen recently on that channel. No advertising means no income which, in turn, means no money to pay for broadcasting rights. If you've hardly seen any advertising you should expect the channel to disappear from the Sky listings in the very near future.

Hi Chris

I never thought of that .

Funny thing is that NASCAR was being shown on the channel , the other week - they must have scraped together enough pennies to have broadcast it then. :-)
The somewhat complex make up of Open Access Group is described in this wiki...

http://en.wikipedia.o...ccess_(UK_television)

The current Companies House status of the mentioned trading entities is:

Open Access Group Limited - Accounts OVERDUE
Trace TV (UK) Limited - Accounts DORMANT; Returns OVERDUE
Definition Broadcast Limited - Accounts OVERDUE

and the Definition Broadcast website has been suspended.
Why, may I ask would you want to watch NASCAR, is it for the comedy value ?
(Apologies if you have an American relative who's into it)
The listed programme is not being shown tonight, just the usual key screen. last night was good though Texas 500.

The person asking why watch NASCAR probably doesn't drive I guess.

You guess wrong, I drive but I differentiate between proper motorsport and trailer-trashy yank crap.
