being scared of the daleks
I wanted to add student memories too - Layla, Maggie May, only 4 students on the whole Uni with their own car, Sainsbury's steak and kidney puddings for 4 1/2 p and the grounds surrounding the halls being up to an inch deep in strange burnt cardboard tubes made from computer data input cards.:-)

One of the family anecdotes is the time Big Sis was reading a novel - an avid bookworm from an early age - and yours truly was bored witless so got the dress scissors out. When my mother came into the room she found Big Sis reading in total oblivion, no sign of me, but one of sibling's pigtails on the floor.

Never ending summers, big hair, crushes on the neighborhood girls, screwball ice creams, pushups, cornettos, 99 with flake, ladybirds, earwigs, flying ants, cheap trainers with not much of a sole, knitted jumpers in the winter, leg warmers and mittens with strings, park coats, dodgy health and safety videos about fireworks, playing on traintracks and going off with strangers, Jamie and his magic torch, Why don't you, Morph...The list is endless, it was a golden time and one I suspect we all wish we could all go back to...

Watching Bouquet of Barbed Wire on my friend`s tv when her parents were out and thinking it was extremely risque.
The 70's were quite a good time, I got married in the 60's and divorced in the 80's.
