I'm well jealous : ( I was supposed to be off tomorrow but the area manager is supposedly comin and we've been rushing about making sure things are right, I was looking forward to a lie in : (
I've not heard from the catwoman today at all either, but might ring them early on in the day cos I am finishing work about 4.
Even though I am of that age, I'm not retired just yet, however I just got my bus pass, I drive to work 5 days a week, so on Saturday I think I'll use my pass to go shopping!..............Lovely!.....No driving into the city and struggling to park!.......hope the weather holds out for my little excursion!.............lol............
Enough society, I was born just in time to get the full pension without any delays. I must add tho that during my working life I paid the going rate at the time ei tax & National insurance, not my fault that the goal post have been moved now.
the disadvantage being living in Blackpool perhaps.. Though to be fair Blackpool is not Liverpool.
Don't buy a Scouse advent calendar this year, as they are very disappointing. All the windows have been boarded up and the chocolates have already been nicked.
I'm not really happy that I'm of retirement age, I would still like to turn the clock back know what I do now and move forward with more knowledge, I would advise all you young ones to plan your retirement now coz all the advantages available now will probably not be around 20/30 years from now.
It's great puss, it's lovely to roll over on these snowy mornings and not have to race to get the bus to work. Don't get the discount at the cafe and I haven;t got to the stage yet where I'll wear daft hats. I haven't been to Knott End for 40 years, but we may as well make the most of our hard-earned retirement. I'm like you I got my pension at 60
I really feel sorry for those who have to wait. And I dread to think what my daughter will do she's only 40.
Mrs Mikmak was 60 gone September but doesn't get her pension til March. She paid the full stamp all her life. We can live with it, in fact we have no choice.
Micmak, I'm in the same position as your wife really, was 60 in October, don't qualify for my pension till May 2011!....I don't feel inclined to retire just yet, but as you said, I don't have a choice really!.............have worked since I was 16!......What's the saying?.........Oh yes, 'Only fools and Horses Work'!................
