Wallander

Hi All

Did anyone watch Wallander on BBC 4 last night? This is the start of Rolf Lassgard playing the character. Apparently it is a very different interpretation from that of Krister Henriksson.
I will try to catch the repeat on Thursday to what I think.

Mr Q and I very big fans of Wallander. We first started watching when it was Kenny B but found his Wallander to be not very interesting so we starting watching (half way through the series!) the Krister version and liked him very much. We are hoping to catch up somewhere in the next series.
We watched the Rolf version last night and were pleasantly surprised. We remembered the storyline but quite liked Rolf (he's a kind of Gerard Depardieu type bloke). He is a bit on the portly side for a cop but all in all we shall look forward to next weeks story.
Are Rolfs version actual films meant for the cinema do you know?

according this they were a 'film' series.

i have recorded the older rolf verions but not had chance to watch them back yet. i really loved the krister version. the kenny b versions were good, but it just felt a bit odd watching english (shakesperian) actors sepaking english with swedish names and swedish locations. the swedish spoken form feelsmuch more 'gritty' and intense.

in my view anyhow.
