X Factor winners song

Ok, I watched the X Factor and for the most part enjoyed it.
But come on, Matt's winners song was written and released by another band LAST YEAR. Surely there has to be some originality incorporated, I hope Matt doesnt become Cowell's latest puppet and can one day be taken seriously as a singer/songwriter.
He hardly changed the arrangement of "Many Of Horror" and therefore didnt even make it his own. Despite being a Matt fan, he really hasnt done the record any justice.

Why does there have to be *any* integrity shown or exoected from by anyone connected with this endless Simon Cowell money-spinning operation ?

I like the show and Iiked Matt, don't see why I should apologise or be laughed at for wasting (in your opinion) a few quid on a phone call.

Boo - I am not knocking your enthusiasm for Matt as an artist. But, seriously, the choice in song? Its a great track but was only released last year. The bit that is unfair is that Matt's version will sell more records. So have Biffy Clyro sold out? Shame on them if they have done it for royalty's!

Actually jd, I agree, didn't like the song to begin with.

I'd have preferred if he'd done The First Time, Ever I saw Your Face.

First time... is on the single. Another plot to send it to number 1 as many saw that as his stand out performance and would buy the single to hear him sing this one again!

lol yes he is, though I'm ashamed ot admit I thought at least half of One Direction were extremely cute, a fact of which im not proud of, makes me feel slightly grubby!
