Why this popped into my head today I don't know, but I seem to recall a kids TV programme that ran along the lines of Skippy, Flipper, etc, in that principal characters were rangers or something in some kind of national park/national forest. Because of what I can remember, I think it was set in Canada, but I am at a loss beyond that. Can anyone remember what it might have been called?

No it wasn't that - like flipper, that was in the everglades. I can't recallif there was an animal "star" in this. I seem to recall a lookout post for forest fires I assume, a young resident of the area and his canoe, and I think either a helicopter or plane with floats that land on a lake. My thoughts are very murky.
