Just watching this - is it me or are they all really small or is the table really high? is seems to come up to their chins.

I'm not watching it ('cos Last of the Summer Wine is on another channel!) but wouldn't rather low chairs account for the way you're seeing things?

Good point - just looked like they had their elbows up by their ears when they were trying to eat.

We used to dine with friends on an alternate Saturday basis for a long time. I always found their dining table too high. On one visit I had a look from underneath the table and was able to point out at that the height adjustment was a simple task. They then told me that they thought it was too high for their comfort! I wish I had looked a lot sooner than I had. Table was cleared between courses and job quickly done. The sweet course was so much more enjoyable ;o)

I can only add that I too agree.
I thought that the "dining" table might actually have been a sidetable/sideboard table that had been pulled away from the wall and used,they(of course) are considerably higher than a standard dining table.
They looked liked dwarves,quite applicable given the season! LOL
