Just noticed, must be because its new years day. Still, has Eastenders lost the plot or what. What with the totally unbelievable story of Carol and her 'toyboy' now we are supposed to believe that Ronnie is going to substitute her dead baby for Kat's live one and nobody is going to notice the difference. Anyway, why is Kat in hospital and the baby's left at home - who is feeding it - not her clearly.
and how did ronnie hear the baby crying in a room above a pub with people laughing and shouting outside??
it's a tv show...!

She left the house for the hospital about an hour ago in the show. CHarlie was left minding the baby, he's popped out. Also Kat was told she'll need to bring the baby to hospital to feed him. I don't even watch it! I can hear it from where I'm sitting
How do you know she went up there because she heard the baby cry?
Question Author
maybe she hasnt swapped him. Its dragging it out to make us think that
how would she know otherwise, and as the baby was crying she looked up

i wonder if they'll ever be a time when birth is more lifelike, not over in a few pushes. Induced after 2 weeks in labour for days then a c section
dont normally watch it but was at a friends and they ahd it on, and now i know why i dont watch it!
Well now I watched it now I know they have totally lost it. I mean, I know all babies look like Phil Mitchell nobody has noticed the difference. Eastenders promotes itself as dealing with 'issues' and certainly if they think they can tackle it deal with the issue of cot death but please make it properly realistic, it's enough of a story when the proper baby is lost without bringing such a ridiculous story line. I think this is where I stop watching.
Yes we have just made our new years resolution to stop watching EE, what a load of old sh** in the name of katherine Tates nan!
ohh as ifffffff!! ... gawd .... its just sooo daft for words!
I only caught it on by accident, had no idea it was on tonight and must have missed an episode.

Found it very uncomfortable to watch, if they wanted to cover an issue such as cot death I wish they'd cover it more sensitively without trying to mix it up with a sensationalised storyline, just feels wrong.
was it me or did Kat and Ronnies babies look like the same baby?
this is where the randomness of EE / soap dialogue come in, in a previous epiosde there was an exchange between alfie/Mo and someone eklse regarding baby Moon's weight, he was 8lbs 4ozs apparently, this is probably how it is revealed, that's a biggish baby. kat has hardly held her son and so she won't necessarily spot the weight difference.
No aims, Kats baby was smaller and has dark hair. - Ronnies was almost like a doll. looked 3 months old to me.

EE Possible Spoiler

In the TV guide it says that one of the babies was born with a club foot. Apparently the midwife visits Ronnie and "notices the physical difference in the baby"! What a ridiculous storyline.
if you have been affected by issues in tonights program.......

get a life saddo...its a drama (barely)
Question Author
it may be but i think thats more to people that have had the misfortune to lose a baby.
Jenna I totally agree, by all means deal with an issue like cot death, evidently they have really looked into it and talked with people who have undergone this kind of crisis but for goodness sake the swapping of one baby for another is going far too far. Regardless of whether or not anyone would have noticed the difference it is over sensationalising a subject which is much too sensitive for this kind of treatment. How much better did Coronation Street deal with domestic violence (Charlie Stubbs). The actor had spent a great deal of time visiting crisis centres and talking to women who had been subjected to the kind of treatment shown on the programme and it showed. It was one of best portrayals of what happens I have ever seen.
By all means deal with cot death, but to swap the baby in my opinion is totally far fetched, I hope they don't drag the story line out.
