I drained the whole tank of gas and air when I had my son. I swore at everyone, told Mr.Den if he did'nt stop wiping my face with that fecking flannel I would shove it up his ass.

I remember after I'd had my daughter 40 years ago(!) I was having a lovely bath and could hear a woman screaming the place down, I heard the midwife tell her if she didn't stop the racket she would slap her round the face to shut her up-imagine them daring to say that these days, did the trick though, not another peep.
Gas & air was useless. (Husband at the time took charge of that for himself anyway, selfish git. Didn't bode well for our future).
Pethidine was useless.
Labour was mercifully short, but bl00dy painful, with both of them. I didn't scream but I could have, easily.
The little darlings were worth it ;-) And this year my son is to have his own child. Isn't the circle of life really rather wonderful?
