The rumours are that Mourinho will want to get away from Real Madrid at the end of his 1st season, and Dalglish is only confirmed as the Reds boss till then too.

There's a long time for those Spanish rumours to turn out to be complete nonsense, but I, for one, would be very happy if The Special One were to take over at Liverpool.

Why would anyone not want him to be their manager?

If KD does a good job Managing Liverpool I would be happy to see him given an extended Contract at the Club.
Chelsea should never have sacked Mourhino as he was their best Manager and if Abramovich had not been so hasty in getting rid of him, I think Mourhino would have eventually brought the Champions League Trophy to Stamford Bridge
Bibble....Liverpool are in meltdown and Mourinho would need squillions to put them right.
He'll be Man Utd's next manager when Fergie retires.........Mark my words ;-)

redman - you're probably right

mighty - I need something to hope for at the end of the season because it doesn't look good on the field.
There's no way Liverpool will go down mainly because we have booked our biennial relegation spot...It's the law...The Dingles of Wolverhampton will want to keep us company, they love us really :-)
and West Ham are rubbish.
There ya goooo!

yay (until Sat lunchtime and the next match)
Mourinho will be next manager of Man United. Why would he want to go to Liverpool unless he had millions and millions and millions to spend to bring the squad up to scratch? It won't happen.
As a Barcelona supporter I wand the 'special one' to stay at Madrid.

that might have worked if you hadn't got the correction in so quickly, scotman
I agree with wba, with mourinho's ego, he will feel that liverpool are not a big enough club to go to, he is in one of the worlds biggest clubs at the moment, I think he is holding out for sir alex to retire.
unless he wants to be the one to return the sleeping giant to the top? I cant see it happening but he's always spoken of his love of the Anfield atmosphere. We can clutch at straws!
Sorry to upset you Mighty, but Wigan already have their towel on 18th position.
Mourinho has already said he wants to win all the major European leagues he has Spain, and Germany ...perhaps by that time Sir Alex will be ready to retire....even he has said Mourinho would be his preference.... but at liverpool he could mess with Sir Alex's head.....pleaaaaaaaaaase..........
I would be happy to have Mourhino as manager, but i don't think he would take the job with the situation as it is.
As redman said, if Dalglish does ok til the end of the season I'd be happy for him to be kept on.

At least this weekend was a bit more positive!
If KD churns out the results and LFC finish respectably in the top 6 and perhaps win the Europa League, with his already legendary status, the club wouldn't need or want Mourinho in my opinion. If he came to England again it would be to manage the club with the most chance of winning in Europe and/or with the most funds at his disposal. Or lets not rule out international management, Spain or Germany?
