Just been watching this on Ch. 5, and it was very touching at the end when dozens of the people, who had been rescued by this man, met him for the first time. Not many people can say that they have been responsible for saving the lives of 669 people. A true hero. If you didn't see it tonight, it is repeated on Sunday at 8.00pm. Well worth seeing, and will bring a few tears to your eyes.

Think I heard about this chap in the news a couple of years ago. I find things like this too emotional so I don't think I can watch it.
Just watched it, was emotional but worth seeing the bravery and courage of one man who saved so many lives. Must have been horrfic to have lived through those dark dangerous days and for children never to see the parents again, makes you appreciate what we have today.
we all know what he save them from, and after the war i think every1 he saved must have been really grateful when they realised what was going to happen if he hadn't stepped in. I missed this but really wanted to watch it, may watch it sunday though
Its the families being torn apart that gets to me.
