Digital switch over
8 Answers
When the switch over to digital arrives, what about all the council properties with communial aerials? If these need to be upgraded, will the tenants have to supply their own? I can understand why the council would not or could not afford to pay for all these shared aerials to be upgraded, but no correspondence has yet been received telling tenants what to do so they could be prepared financially etc. Wary of phoning the council as don't want to appear cheeky. Quite prepared to pay or pay a share with others but would just like to know for my daughter. Maybe they wont need upgrading at all, hence not letter from council.

unless you live in a very weak signal area the aerial will not require changing. All the transmitters are still in the same positions so aerials do not need re-aligning. Most of the stuff you hear about aerial upgrades is from companies that supply and fit aerials, they are just trying to cash in on peoples fears about the digital switch. if you can already get channel 5 clearly then you should have no problem with a digital signal,
