banned q & a

      This has been asked before and i still see no logical explanation for it. Now why do the posts that break NONE of the rules get banned? I posted a question to you about why you do not respond to the suggestions in this topic and you banned that too,but not before sending me a link that was totally irrelevant to the original question. we all know the rules here and i know some of the "banned" posts are totally within the AB rules. Now, without banning this post would you care to explain?

You will get a note from AB Editor telling you that the final word is down to him/her and that s/he decides what is right for the site and what is not. If s/he considers something to be "too chatty/informal" or otherwise outside the rules of AnswerBank, it'll get deleted and, because they insist on using such a over-dramatic word, BANNED. The rules listed are not exhaustive.

I am still of the opinion that the site is patrolled by robots, which delete things the programmer has told it to look for. Which results in erroneous deletings. Which the AB Editor tries to defend. But can't.

Hi Rod.  Take no notice of Joey's posts the Editor will delete them when he returns on Monday.  By that time Joey will be calling me FP/Rod/Vinny/Smudge!  The Ed was quite efficient yesterday and removed lots of stupid postings from Joey.  Just report those that are offensive like the one you have pointed out.

FP I assume from your post that a number of answers on this thread have been deleted. If not then you must have posted an answer to the wrong question. Or, God forbid, you have totally lost it.

Artemis, yes a number of postings were deleted and I am not sure of the point of leaving mine!  I haven't totally lost it yet, but am well on the way!!
