renewing contract for mobile phone
2 Answers
I'm coming to the end of my contract with orange. I have peviously paid £17.50 for 400 mins unlimited texts and 80 mb of data. I can no longer afford this plan and can only really afford £5 a month. Bearing in mind I'm happy to keep my phone, is 300 mins 300 texts and unlimited data unreasonable for £5 a month?
My girlfriend has managed to get that deal with T Mobile after only being there 1 year.
I have spoken to orange who ended up putting me through to retentions, and all they could offer me for £5 is 150 mins 300 texts and data. I'm not happy with this and tried to argue my case (politely)but said I'll leave it for know and ring back but will probably end up leaving if thats the best they can offer me.
The lady I spoke too said that she'd love to help me more but thats all that was coming up on screen to offer me. I thought once you got through to retentions, they could pull out all the stops to keep you. It didnt seem like this when I rang. It seems there limited on what they can offer too.
Is there anyone other than retentions I can speak too, or anybody know any good hints/tips to use to get what I'm after. Also, is it worth ringing a few times and speaking to different people to see If I get a better offer?
Thanks
