New Stella Artois Commercial What Railway Route is this?
5 Answers
Hey everyone! I'm sure this one's a bit of an 'out there' question, but might you know what Railway route (an even more hopeful), what route is being featured on the new Stella Artois advertisement.
My first guess as I try to look through the window of the club car is that it's Algeria and the train is travelling from Algiers. But through later glimpses, my mind turns to Morocco . I'd be grateful for any help!

Hey Naz! Thanks for that. I too thought that as well...looking at the image outside, it looked like Monaco. But I cancelled that immediately as there is no rail service that operates that close to the water anywhere between St Tropez and the Italian border.
It may be that the whole advert is constructed, but I don't think it was. A couple of years ago, both Marks & Sparks and Stella did an advert on the Orient Express. It was through leasing the train for a day to do the shots.
Heritage style rail travel seems to be alluring to many, so my guess was that Stella again picked up another route to copy. I suppose it may be that they hired the two or three rail carriages from an historical society, etc to do the same.
Thanks again...I hope there may be some other ideas and if I'm wrong about the rail service out of St. Tropez, I'll have to save up my pennies and go exploring!
Oi

Are you sure, There is a train track that pretty much follows the coast from Théoule-sur-Mer right round to Villeneuve-Loubet and that runs that close to the water on some stretches.
