Unless the retailer is willing to give you a 5 Year Full Guarantee on your new TV would forget it and buy a better brand instead. There are plenty out there such as Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba etc which will last far longer than Alba or Bush.
Any good TV will come with an extended warranty.
HEY I can last pretty long y'know (well I have up until now)
Yes but you are the genuine article alba-qwerty ! No batteries required !! :-))
when I saw this I was thinking
Why are they talking about George Bush and who is Alba, in Media
sorry, it's me age
lol red :)

I'd go for a Mitsubishi but it's a personal choice
Your age is fine Bobbi ! It's that bl00dy BP Machine that's causing the probs !!!! he he
it's stopped the oxygen to my brain red..
but I now have the BP of a 21 yr old

Yipppeee
Both of these used to be "good makes" of stuff in the "old days". However, the names were sold and are now put on stuff that is made down to a price. Alba and Bush are only available in Argos and so are ,in effect, own brands. So I agree with redman - it's price or quality to decide on.
I've had both makes and had no problems with either.

thanks for all your remarks, looks like I will have to save a few more pennies and go for something a bit more pricey.
