Because these days most tv progs leave much to be desired I have started to record Radio 4 & Radio 4 extra afternoon plays on my Panasonic DVD Recorder hard drive. I would very much like to put these on to C/D but I cannot figure a way to do it, can any of you techies help please ?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.You could record what is playing on your PC using the free software Audacity. It can be a bit fiddly to set up though. Instructions are in the link below but the basic are
(a) get it to recognise whatever’s playing through your speakers
(b) tweak the recording levels a bit until you are happy
(c) play the programme on iplayer and hit record.
You’ll then get an audio file saved somewhere that you could burn to CD if you wanted
