Bbc Iplayer Probs

Don't know what's changed but all of a sudden BBC iPlayer is not opening links and playing my radio choice - clicking on the link causes a download which seems to do nothing.
I am trying to listen to Radio 2 live but often listen to it on catch up.
Windows 8; Chrome and Firefox.

You could try this site http:// www.lis tenlive .eu/uk. html. This gives you a greater choice if you want.
Spoke to soon.
When I click 'Listen Live' on this page:
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ radio2/
my pc attempts to download something. If I allow the download I cannot open whatever it is that downloads. Nothing plays :(

A pls file is an 'audio playlist', which is exactly what Radio 2's streamed content is. So that means that your PC is downloading the correct content but, for some reason, is unable to play it.
The pls file requires Adobe Flash Player to be installed (and, of course, actually functioning!). Flash Player has a nasty habit of suddenly ceasing to work though. Try viewing a random Youtube video on your PC. If you can't see it, then the problem is definitely down to a fault with Flash Player. If so, go to 'Programs and Features' (or whatever Windows 8 now calls it - I find it hard to keep up!) and remove 'Adobe Flash Player Plug-in' from the list of installed programs. Restart your PC and then download and install Flash Player again from here:
