Projector Can't Find Output Signal From Laptop
For the last few years I was able to connect my projector to a laptop which has Windows Vista on it. All this time, the projector and laptop operated without any apparent problems. Now suddenly, the projector displays an error message " there is no output signal".
I have tried different VGA cables, they make no difference.
I have tried the laptop with other projectors, still no signal.
I have tried my projector on other laptops and it works OK.
I have tried toggling with "F" keys and still there is no output from the laptop.
But I have found that via the control panel, clicking on "Personalize" there is another option i.e. "Connect to external display/projector". Clicking on this and on two further boxes I can get an output signal that works the projector. So it works. But, each time I use the projector I have to remember to go through this procedure as it does not retain these settings and I don't know why.
Any suggestions welcome.
