How much of a place in your life does radio hold?
I love the radio, and from the moment I go to bed, to the moment I wake, I listen to R4.
It is always on my dial in the car too.

Life in Britain for me would be unthinkable without BBC Radio, and unbearable without Radio 4. Summers would also be unrecognisable without the Proms. Thank God for the BBC !

Maybe not as much as you ferlew but I do enjoy radio 4 extra, if I go for a walk
or to the gym I have it on my small digital radio, plus I always listen to the
shipping forcast on 4

I just adore listening to 'Sailing By' too. I have it in my will for it to be played as I depart. :)
have it on everyday mainly real xs
I go to sleep to R4 and get up to it every morning. It's always on when I'm working in the kitchen. In the car I prefer R2 if I'm not playing a CD.
In my car on the way to work, Radio Oxford.
On the way home, Oxford or Radio 2 (on the odd occasion I'm early enough to hear the confession on Mayo's show)
Otherwise, depending on the time & content, Radio 4.
Other than that I make time by downloading (as the other thread).
Oh but during morning ablutions, Heart FM.
I had the Carl Froch v George Groves fight on (Despite vowing not to listen to it - was fed up with all the media coverage) but switched off seconds before the knockout punch. I don't even listen to the local radio on a Saturday for the footie. All the stations play the same garbage, so I'd rather use my speaker dock or Bluetooth speaker and play something from my iPod instead.

The only regimental radio listening I had was Gary Davies then Steve Wright on Radio 1 (However long ago that was).
I switch from Radio 2, specifically Vanessa Feltz in the morn (I know) and then Jeremy Vine in the afternoon, and radio 4 for it's plays.

I do also listen to local radio, usually when I've had a few, for the absolute trash it churns out :-)
A friend of mine always goes to bed and listens to a radio programme of music on Sunday evening, he often tells me how much he enjoys it, but I'm not a radio fan to listen to it at home. I do like to listen to it in the car though.
I listen to radio 4 extra during every night; I do find that i can get to sleep quite readily doing this - not because it's boring but because it provides something interesting on which to concentrate rather than be dogged by the mental paraphernalia of the real world.
I love radio. Always have since I was about 10 years of age. I have a radio in the kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedrooms, car and a some mini ones with earphones. I never go into a room without switching it on.

You lay awake all night listening to the Radio, when do you sleep?

I recall, as a child, sitting in front of the radio, absolutely enthralled with Dick Francis.
Saturday mornings, with Uncle Mac. Sundays with family favourites.
Radio just has a certain appeal.
I listen quite a lot, switching between ClassicFM, Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live as the mood takes me.

Lol Baldric, I DO sleep, but I wake knowing what has been on.
As soon as I get in the kitchen it's switched on, spend most of my day when not working with the radio on, also in the car. Though hubby and me like different stations, he likes Radio 2 , I like our local station, love the jingles and local news. So we do have a bit of a battle over it, nothing serious.

Radio in kitchen, Radio 5 Live or Sports Extra.

I have the place to myself 3 days a week, my Air-time is split between Radio 2, Capital and Heart, no TV until OH gets home.
I switch the local radio station on as soon as i get up and it is on whilst i remain in the house. I turn off about 7.30 ish, watch a bit of tv, then plug myself in to my 'cans' and listen to music. I am currently listening to "Selling England By The Pound" by Genesis - when Phil Collins was sensible enough to know that his place was behind his drum kit:-)
