Boy did that amateur squirm when he was asked questions he hoped were not round the corner.
A boyish grin and a pathetic reply that the interviewer had better ask the archbishop questions about religion and homosexuality.
Glad the Limp Dums are not the party of my choice with a non starter like that as their leader.
How will he react when the pressure really is on in the world of politics?

Last night's embarrassing interview.
Last night's embarrassing interview.
“You don't think a Muslim LibDem leader would be grilled about his beliefs?”
Here’s the scene - Evan Davis is interviewing the new leader of the Liberal Party, Mr Lutfur Rahman, the former mayor of Tower Hamlets. Mr Rahman defected to the Liberal Democrats after being expelled from office by an Election Court and, following what can only be described as a “lack of takers” was elected their leader following Nick Clegg’s resignation:
Davis: “So tell me Mr Rahman, it is well know that homosexuality is an abomination as far as Islam goes. How does that square with the law and with your Liberal belief that we “should all be allowed to be who we wish to be”?”
Rahman: “Er….er…”
Davis: “Perhaps we could move on, then. Many Muslims believe that women are merely child bearing chattels and must accept their place in Islamic society (i.e. separate from and ten paces behind men). How will you reconcile that with the equality laws that exist in the UK?”
Rahman: “You are really misrepresenting the true…”
Davis: “Yes quite. Perhaps I could pose this question, then. Many people in the UK have a fear that during Ramadan, especially when it falls in the summer months, Muslim workers such as bus and lorry drivers are taking considerable risks with public safety doing their jobs whilst denying themselves liquid for up to seventeen hours for what is nothing more than a religious foible. What are your views on this?”
Rahman: “I think this situation has been blown out of all…”
Davis: “Well thank you Mr Rahman. Unfortunately we’re out of time. Now the weather followed by 'Friday afternoon in Brick Lane Mosque'."
