IMO, He should have been voted out weeks ago, is it all a matter of personality rather than dancing skills?

I rarely watch it but it's not a level playing field, imo. Many of the contestants have been to drama school where they are trained in dance and compete against complete novices.

Isn't it suppose to be about improvement?

He'll stay until he ends up in the dance off. Given that he nearly always finishes in teh bottom two in the judges' vote but never ends up in the final two I reckon he must come in the top 3 of the public vote. Regardless of how low a score he gets from the judges the public votes have consistently put him ahead of others such as Jamelia, Peter Andre and the one who was in teh dance off this week. I reckon he's got two weeks left now

I would estimate 2 weeks max. I would think that he and Jamelia will both go in the next 2 programmes. They have both improved a fair bit, but have no real chance of reaching the final, so I feel their luck will run out soon.

A lot of people are interested and it gives them a lot of pleasure watching.

The one thing I don't understand on this programme (and others) - why bother having professional judges and then ask a load of amateurs who haven't a clue?
They are just going to vote for their favourite pop / soap star or who they fancy rather than actually judge them on their dancing.

Of course personalities come into it, especially the viewers votes. He seems to have captured the hearts and minds of enough to keep him in.

fiction-factory - I don't understand your comment that the public puts Jeremy Vine ahead of people such as Jamelia, Carole Kirkwood and Peter Andre. We only get to know which couples are in the bottom two and therefore in the dance-off thus Jamelia and Carole but Peter has never been in the dance off so how can you say that Jeremy has been placed ahead of him.

Agree with Abers who says he'll be off if he's in the dance off. The judges will not keep him especially Craig who gives him the lowest score every week.

I'll be honest in saying I only watched when Holly Valance and Pixie Lott have being on the show, I have seen others when over at Mum's have to say I offer great respect to them all... very brave IMO.

It's an entertainment show really, and he's very entertaining which is why the public vote for him. Remember John Sargeant and Ann Widdecombe?
I agree, once he's in the dance off he'll be out, as will Jamelia.

The not so good dancers hang on for a while, but always go near the end. I have to say that I like Jeremy Vine very much. Fantastic personality. Nothing has been said on here about Anton. He should go soon IMO.
