Can't comment on your question Hopkirk because I've become totally disillusioned about the station as a whole. It's now completely advert led with a bit of sport in between. I used to listen all the time but can't remember the last time I switched on.

I have to agree Hopkirk, we all like to speculate but do think they're giving it a bit of an overkill.

Cannot stand listening to anything on TalkSport, and Stan Collymore is at the top of my (long) Unbearable list!

Sometimes you have a choice of Stan shouting on Talksport, or Alan Green being an opinionated wally on 5 Live.

At such moments I usually choose Radio 2.

I can't stand that maggot Alan Green so 5Live is a definite no! Although needs must when United are playing and no other way knowing the latest.

I used to listen to Radio2 quite a lot, I might be tempted back though.

Rock and Roll football on Absolute Radio is good on Saturday afternoons, during the football season.

Talksport poached Jim Proudfoot from them, but now they have John Champion. After the games finish Ian Wright does a great show.
He is like a different man from when he does 5 Live 606 on a Sundays.
It's as if the brakes are off when he's not on the Beeb.

Thanks for the nod on Absolute Radio - will try and remember next season. Stan Collymore is suffering more and more from verbal diarrhea and Alan Green is God, well in his opinion.
