Last night was interesting, but puzzling. How on earth can Tom justify going off on his travels, when his sister will standing trial in a few weeks ?

Tom can't do Helen any good if he stays at home, but he might do her (and other new mothers) some good, in the long term, by going on his travels/researches.

That's how I understand it too, Bb. I think the decision was made because the family thought it would do Helen good to know her ideas were being developed, and also, if Tom leaves it for another year, he might be overtaken by another company.

By the way, is anybody taking bets on what kind of a sentence Helen will get? My money is on either probation or a suspended sentence. What say you all?

I'd love to believe that Rob murdered Scruff and can go along except for the last bit where he's breaking-down over looking after Henwee. He hasn't had time or energy, sadly

I'm very hooked on Shula's predicament. I think that in the end she will not be able to live with herself if she does not say what she knows about Rob,

I can't think that her punishment for withholding information would be that huge -given that she acknowledges that she was bullied into it by Rob; may even help quite a lot. Will she stand up to Alistair?

I suppose that the scriptwriters have done their research and that Helen is showing typical behaviour of someone in her situation. I must admit I found her attitude incredibly irritating, almost as if she doesn't want to help herself.
